Oven cleaning in Harrow is £77 for a single oven. Doubles cost £110, and a 90cm range £143. Racks, trays, shelf runners and burner caps come out and are put to soak, while one of us works inside the oven in your kitchen, on the walls and roof of the cavity, the fan guard, the rubber seal and both sides of the door glass.

Oven prices

A single oven on its own already clears our £67 minimum for one-off work. The hob and the extractor hood can be added to the visit, from £23 for a hob and £28 for an extractor. If you’re moving out, the oven goes on top of the tenancy clean as a £31 add-on, so a one bed with its oven is £207 plus £31, or £238.

Soaking beats scrubbing

Burnt fat on a rack builds up in layers, and a shop-bought gel on a cloth only shifts the top one. A long soak loosens the carbon until it drops away, and the chrome comes up without the scratches wire wool leaves. Some of our teams carry a heated tank on the van and use it when they can park close to the house; otherwise the parts soak in the kitchen. If that matters to you, ask when you book.

Door glass is worth the fee alone. Most doors can be taken apart so the inner panes lift out, and that is the only way to get at the brown film trapped between them. A few hinge designs aren’t safe to strip. With those we clean every surface we can reach and explain the rest.

Handy to know before the visit

• The make, plus the model number from the plate inside the door frame if you can find it. It tells us whether the door comes apart.
• Clear the hob and empty the drawer underneath.
• We’ll need a sink and running water for the hand work.

Harrow kitchens run greasy
